AI Hack Night Vegas (and David Blaine)
Last week I was in Vegas for AI Hack Night, hosted by Cloudflare and Coding Scape. I gave a short intro to AI talk, Craig Dennis introduced Cloudflare's Opensource AI tools, then hackers hacked for 90 minutes and demoed at the end.
It continues to inspire and astonish me the demos that folks can build with generative AI in a single session. It was awesome to connect with the local developer community from Vegas – and beyond. One hacker drove 4.5 hours to be there, saying, "we don't have events like this where I'm from."
The Cloudflare crew was in town for the Enterprise Technology Leadership Summit, held at the brand new Fountainebleu resort – probably the cleanest, nicest, most beautiful resort I've stayed at in Vegas.
The night after the hackathon, the crew went to see David Blaine's Impossible at the Wynn. The show was amazing, but the highlight was meeting David beforehand and seeing his work closeup. (I wrote more about Blaine and his show when I saw it the first time last year).
